[AP-UTILS] DWL-1000AP

Hi, I'm new to ap-utils and trying to use it for the first time to
configure a DWL-1000AP base station.  I'm having difficulty (probably
something stupid) getting ap-nwn to talk to the base station.  In
particular, I've tried scanning and talk directly to the IP they
suggest (192.168.0.10) -- everything seems to fail. 

I am using ap-utils-1.1.

My network card is an orinoco "gold" card.

By listening from the card, I can see that the base station is on
channel 6 with ssid "default".  

Do you know a sequence of actions which should definitely allow
ap-utils to detect the base station?
